Photography by James Styler
Last Friday 8th March Sam Brookes; a rising figure in the alt-folk scene and now a Stroud local played an intimate, stripped back set as part of Sound Records regular instore sessions, performing tracks from the new album by his duo project SupaLung.
Sam is also part of the much loved John Martyn Project who have previously played sold out shows in Stroud at the Prince Albert and the Sub Rooms and he also treated the eager audience crammed into the record shop with a beautiful rendition of John Martyn’s Go Down Easy.
Our photographer James Styler headed down to capture the set as part of our ongoing photojournal series…
SupaLung which also features producer and instrumentalist Pete Josef are embarking on a tour in April in conjunction with the release of their debut album I’m Alive which is out now.
