Tom Percival:
Tom Percival writes and illustrates all sorts of children's books. Tom has been drawing since he's been able to hold a pencil, and making up stories for as long as he can remember, in fact, probably longer, especially as his memory is not what it once was. Basically, he's been making things up his whole life and he's not about to stop any time soon…

John Dougherty: There's A Pig Up My Nose song

John Dougherty sings the official theme song for the Egmont picture-book There's a Pig Up My Nose by John Dougherty & Laura Hughes.

There’s A Pig Up My Nose
What if a PIG got stuck up your NOSE? How ever would you get it out? When Natalie has to go to school with a pig stuck up her nose, her whole class gets together to find a way to get the pig out. But how will they do it?
The zany humour of Sue Hendra (of Supertato and Barry the Fish with Fingers fame) meets Babe the Pig in this funny picture book. This delightfully silly tale, brought to life by warm, comical artwork from rising star Laura Hughes, will have children giggling and oinking out loud to try to work out how to get a farmyard animal out of someone's nose. The perfect picture book for boys and girls aged 3 years and up – or for anyone who has ever got something stuck up their nose!

Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam
Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam been brought brilliantly to comic life by artist, Steven Lenton. Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam are two hapless robber dogs who decide on a career-change after one bungled burglary too many. Written in rhyme that trips off the tongue and makes the message that honesty is the best policy as light and fluffy as a Masterchef’s souffle! This funny, quirky story, is full of depth of detail and colour, which little ones will pore over time and time again – and the two robber dogs are adorable comic characters! A real treat – especially for dog-lovers everywhere – young and old.

Tracey Corderoy
Tracey grew up in South Wales, on a council estate firmly sandwiched between the steel and chemical works. Here you were born, you worked, and you generally stayed. She’s a trained teacher but now writes full-time in an old damp cottage on the Gloucestershire hills. A multi award-winning author, her first book was published in 2010, and in December 2019, her 70th. As a young child, Tracey owned few books. But thanks to an ancient set of encyclopaedias she happened upon, and a Ladybird copy of Cinderella, her passion for nosing into other people’s ‘stories’ began early on! Some years later, one very special Secondary School teacher and many great librarians, fed Tracey more and more books. Between their pages real magic then started to happen. Impossible adventures became do-able. Characters became friends. Boundaries became gates as her world, very slowly, opened up. Books made her laugh and cry and think. They made her feel that – maybe she could do things.

Eve Coy
Eve Coy always loved to draw. She studied animation at Edinburgh University and became an artist working for Aardman Animation. When they lived in Bristol she would take her first daughter to the library which had a fabulous children's section, placed on shelves inside a boat. She and her daughter were frequent passengers on that boat, and as they worked their way through the shelves Eve became hooked on picture books. Eve gained an MA in Children's illustration from the prestigious Cambridge School of Art and was shortlisted for the Klaus Flugge Prize for her first picture book Looking After Daddy.
