Sat 9th 30 Jahre Meuerfall A performance and clubnight to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Berlin Wall coming down with live performance, music, visuals and film inspired by the political history, sub-culture and club scene of this enigmatic city. Live performance from Atsuko Kamura (Kamura Obscura), an experimental music project combining electronic and acoustic composition and vocal improvisation. Plus Wool Heads, a musical collaboration between performance Artist Uta Baldauf and Sound Artist Sean Roe: narrative tone poems with a glitchy electronic beat. With a late night afro pop, electronica and techno DJ set from moina moin and guests inspired by a recent investigative trip into the Berlin nightclub scene. Mon 4th Karen Tweed and Timo Alakotila: May Monday 21 Years Young…Karen Tweed (piano accordion) and Timo Alakotila (piano) met in Denmark in 1998, released their seminal CD 'May Monday' in 2001 which gained international acclaim and was voted CD of the year by BBC Late Junction's presenter Fiona Talkington. Two albums followed - Midnight May Monday and now Midsummer May Monday and this tour celebrates 21 years of their superb music and great friendship. Timo, based in Helsinki and Karen, based in Orkney are inspirational creatives, composers and teachers - their collaboration combines Karen's wacky, mercurial and vivacious wizardry with Timo's quiet genius. 7:30pm £10adv (info 07415 456307) /£12otd/£3school children
