Last Saturday 19th August saw the launch of the first ever Ramfete - a new all day festival of music, culture and arts held on a field in Brimscombe, Stroud.
The event acted as a fundraiser for the much loved multi-arts venue Studio 18 featuring numerous DJ’s pulled from Stroud’s burgeoning dance music scene including Kincaid, Loose Joints, Marcel Lune, Memory Play, Global Beats and Valley Steppas as well as live music from the likes of Albino Tarantino, Careful Spider, Earl Temple Foundation, Wooolheads and Cotswold Trash across three different stages.
The festival also included talks from local community groups Stroud Against Racism, The RYSE, This Ends Now and others.
Local young photographer Harry Peg went along to document the event - which will hopefully be a regular new addition to Stroud’s annual festival calendar(!) - resulting in a unique set of images shot on 35mm film.
