THE PRINCE ALBERT
SUN 17TH Leveret
Three of England’s finest folk musicians, Andy Cutting (button accordion), Sam Sweeney (fiddle) and Rob Harbron (concertina), come together as Leveret to bring music firmly rooted in tradition but with a fresh approach. With no two performances alike, they rely on skill, trust and mutual interaction to convey a performance that is relaxed and natural whilst being truly spontaneous. The trio have a multitude of awards between them (BBC Folk Awards Musician of the Year 2015, Sam Sweeney; three-time BBC Folk Awards Best Musician, Andy Cutting; Best Group and Best Album BBC Folk Awards 2014, Rob Harbron with The Full English) and continue to build on that success with their latest album, Diversions (2019). 7pm £14

CHRISTCHURCH NAILSWORTH
SUN 17TH Bristol Ensemble Tea-Time Concert: Pictures from Paris I
Roger Huckle and Paul Israel of the Bristol Ensemble perform Franck’s lyrical Violin Sonata, written for the Belgian violinist Eugène Ysaÿe on the occasion of his marriage in 1886. Treasured for its songlike motifs and themes which recur throughout its four movements, the work is beautifully balanced between piano and violin, and the piece is among Franck’s most frequently performed compositions. As well as Fauré’s serene Berceuse for violin and piano, the programme also includes piano solos by Debussy. 3pm £10otd
